Token approvals are a common type of transaction used by dapps, in which a user grants a dapp permission to move a specific token from their account; effectively allowing a dapp to access and spend tokens on the user's behalf. Learn more about token approvals.

Revoking allowances

If you no longer use a specific dapp, you might want to consider revoking the ability for the dapp to spend tokens from your address. Luckily, various tools are out there to keep track of existing approvals and revoke them.

One method is to head to Linescan's token approval checker and input your account address.
